Agency Trade-In Colt LE6945 Complete Upper Receiver

Out of stock now, so I guess this was the last one on the shelf. Came with the older detent-only (no lock) front sight post, which I actually think is better. Overall condition better than expected!

Upper shot and functioned perfectly. I would grade it in NRA good condition, fully functional but with some wear on the anodizing finish from use by the prior department, and clear signs of use and in and out of patrol cars. Shot accurately and functioned perfectly. The AAC muzzle brake is very loud, but also very effective in reducing muzzle climb. Happy with the purchase. Expect to see exterior wear on the finish, and the upper to arrive in need of cleaning. A little more wear than what I see in the picture was evident on my upper. Overall happy with the purchase.

My example was considerably worse for wear than the provided photos. Visible rust, rounded off sections of pic rail. Obviously ran full auto, supressed a lot, without a regular cleaning cycle. To the point where carbon caked up around the gas tube hole in the upper is so dense and baked on I can’t get it out even after having it soak in breakfree. The bolt head was also a DPMS, not a colt.

Bought multiple as I knew condition could vary, all four are HEAVILY worn, not as shown or even close. Had great luck with Clyde in the past but this one was a bust :(

I ordered the receiver knowing it was a used upper but the one I received literally has no anodizing left on the left side from riding in a rack. The function and internals are great but I do think it should state in the listing that some uppers may show extreme amounts of wear. I have purchased trade in parts before and expect wear but I fee like these should have ratings on them like a lot of place as far as A,B,C grade and such. If you just want something to shoot and may possibly be planning on refinishing it or painting it your good but know that you may get one that is literally without and anodizing.

Finish was considerablly more beat than pictured but bore and bolt were fine. I planed on painting it anyway which I did. PRI M48 and AAC 51t blackout break made up for the finish wear, which again was no worse than anything I was ever issued in the Army. Bore and bolt are fine and thaats all that mattered to me.

For the price commanded, I wasn’t expecting it to be in such rough shape. A rough finish was expected but this upper had actual metal wear rendering some of the rail lugs questionable. At this price point, I expected better.

This upper was shipped crazy fast! I was surprised to see how good of a condition the upper was in when I opened the box. The barrel and BCG appear to be in great shape. This completes the look I’m after and I can’t wait to get to the range.
