Overview
The FOUNDATION SERIES is built on Shadow Systems’ world class frame. Optimized wrap-around texture gives supreme control during rapid fire without wearing uncomfortably against the body when concealed. Featuring three interchangeable backstraps that change not the size of the grip but the angle of the bore, the Shadow Systems frame can be tailored to the shooter’s natural point of aim. A deep cut above the trigger guard provides greater control with a modern thumbs-forward shooting grip. Lastly, the gently extended and upswept beavertail prevents slide bite without the characteristic oversized appearance of other frames in the market.
Atop the frame, FOUNDATION SERIES pistols feature a nitrided slide with angled pocket-cut serrations. All FOUNDATION SERIES pistols come equipped with the patented Shadow Systems multi-footprint optic cut, allowing for a direct mount of most major optic brands with the longest and strongest screws in the industry. Shadow Systems adds steel sights to the slide with a plain black serrated rear and white dot front which afford a lower 1/3 cowitness with most optics. The match grade, smooth-finish nitrided barrel is rated for +P ammo and is conventionally rifled.
Internals include a carbon steel guide rod and a drop-safe, polymer trigger. The trigger has a 4.5-5.0 pound trigger pull and a crisp, tactile reset. FOUNDATION SERIES pistols ship with two magpul magazines.

WARRANTY
Shadow Systems warrants to the original purchaser that the firearm was made free of defects in material, function, and workmanship. Shadow Systems will address any such defect for the period that the original purchaser owns the firearm. In cases where a product cannot be repaired, Shadow Systems reserves the right to replace the product with a current production product of like kind or value.
This Limited Lifetime Warranty does not apply to wear items including: Firing Pins, Extractors, Magazine Catch and springs. This Limited Lifetime Warranty also does not cover loss, theft, deliberate damage, or cosmetic damage that does not affect function.
With that said, regardless of whether you are the original purchaser or what your issue is, we will always do our best to support you. If required, we will make arrangements to return the firearm or components thereof to our facility for repair or send you a replacement part.
**Use of Pistol in Self-Defense Situation
If you are forced to use your Shadow Systems pistol in a self-defense situation in the United States, it is possible that you will temporarily or permanently lose possession of your Shadow Systems pistol.
If your use of your Shadow Systems pistol is deemed legally justified to the satisfaction of Shadow Systems, but the pistol is not returned to you, Shadow Systems will replace your pistol free of charge, to the extent permitted by law.
This policy applies to civilians as well as law enforcement line of duty use in cases where the pistol was personally purchased by the officer.**
